Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has rejected the allegations of question paper leak in 70th Preliminary Examination (PT). The Commission made it clear that students who commit irregularities at the examination center will be identified and strict action will be taken against them.

What is the matter?

There was uproar during the examination at Bapu Examination Center in Kumhrar, Patna. Some examinees alleged that question papers were distributed late and some question papers were seen in the hands of students. Some videos also went viral on social media, in which candidates are seen showing OMR sheets and question papers.

  • Question paper viral: Students allege that the question paper went viral on social media.
  • Allegation of negligence on the part of the management: Students said that they are being treated non-seriousness. The situation worsened when some students snatched the question papers and tried to provoke other candidates. Furious students demonstrated outside the campus. DM tried to intervene and District Magistrate Chandrashekhar reached the examination center to control the situation. According to media reports, he tried to pacify a protesting student by slapping him.

The commission gave clarification
BPSC rejected all these allegations and said that there is no case of paper leak. The Commission said that till now no complaint of paper leak has been received through any media channel or other medium. Commission officials reached the spot and talked to the students. He says that out of 12,000 registered candidates, about 5,500 took the exam. Action will be taken against those who create ruckus. The Commission said that the students involved in the ruckus will be identified and action will be taken against them. These students not only disrupted the examination process but also damaged the property of the Commission.

Commission is investigating
BPSC said that reports from 911 out of 912 examination centers have been received. A detailed report has been sought from the Superintendent of Bapu Examination Centre. CCTV footage related to the incident is being investigated. Appeal to students: The Commission has appealed to the students not to pay attention to rumors and have faith in the examination process.

Any conclusion will be reached only on the basis of detailed investigation and report. It is clear that no irregularities have come to light in BPSC, but the Commission is in a mood to take strict action against unruly students. This incident has definitely raised questions on the transparency of the examination process, which will be resolved after investigation.
